Winter blues? You’re not alone. With the magic of the holidays seemingly far behind us and the long winter still ahead, it’s natural to feel uninspired at this time of year. Our suggestion: call up some friends and host a cocktail tasting! Now that’s something to be merry about. Our signature cocktail The Phoenix, created by our own Matthew Abraham, is a perfect recipe to start: “This is a really versatile cocktail that can be enjoyed during any season” says Abraham.”It’s bright, but not too sweet. It’s simple, but still complex and interesting.” In the depths of January, this golden-coloured libation is keeping us warm and reminding us of the better (sunnier) days ahead. And if you’re not into entertaining, you can always pop by Baci Ristorante to enjoy this drink with some modern Italian fare.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Beefeater Gin
- 1/2 oz Cinzano Rosso
- 1/2 oz Martini Bianco
- 1/4 oz Cointreau
Method:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour over ice in a rocks glass and garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
