As the Director of Marketing & Communications for Carmen’s Group, Katherine is responsible for driving the marketing, creative and communications functions of the entire organization. Through her creative talents Kat has successfully rebranded the Carmen’s Group with its iconic Phoenix logo and has helped to position the company as a leader in Hamilton’s hospitality marketplace.
Prior to joining Carmen’s Group Katherine worked in the hospitality sector in Toronto where she learned about the importance of establishing an emotional connection with her valued customers. She also worked as a freelance graphic design artist where she created marketing collateral for various companies and musical bands. An accomplished artist in her own right, Katherine’s art work has been featured in art galleries across Canada and she has been profiled by regional publications including Hamilton Magazine and Urbanicity, where she was featured on the June 2014 cover. In 2015 she was nominated by the YWCA as a Woman of Distinction in its Young Women of Distinction category.
A graduate of the OCADU, Katherine applies her creative skills in transformative manners. Her creation of the new Carmen’s brand identity and her focus on ensuring that every department within the organizing is living the brand promise has elevated the operational excellence of the entire organization. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys art, nature, food, and travelling.
